Anne Klein Shoes

Although women’s fashion is a popular industry worth billions of dollars a year, this was not always the case. Then Anne Klein made her debut back in 1968, launching a clothing line that focused on mix and match items. These “separates” made it easy to put together a multitude of outfits with just a few purchases. Anne Klein was an instant success, since not only did she bring something new to women’s fashion, but she also reached out to a market that hadn’t been approached by other companies.

In 1974, Klein passed away from breast cancer, rather unexpectedly. She was one of the top designers in the world when she died. Her dedication to women’s fashion was worth continuing in her name, which was why her two assistants, Donna Karan and Louis Dell’Olio, continued with the company. In 1984, the duo launched Anne Klein II, clothes that had a designer look and quality but without the high price tag.  Donna Karan left Anne Klein in the early 1990’s to start her own fashion line. Since then, many designers, from Richard Tyler to Charles Nolan, have gotten their start at Anne Klein Company before branching out on their own.

With her sophisticated and empowering lines of clothing, Anne Klein’s company has a 40-year reputation for offering designer quality without the designer price. Klein offers chic career clothes that include button-ups, skirts and blazers. Also popular are Anne Klein jackets that are made from cotton or leather. In 2008, the company launched a new AK Anne Klein line that includes Anne Klein jewelry and Anne Klein shoes, built with durability and fashion in mind.
