Rachel Roy
California born Rachel Roy decided to move to New York to pursue
her passion in fashion by beginning in magazine styling and landed
an internship with Rocawear. The experience gained from all her
previous endeavors led her to launch her own brand of under the
label Rachel Roy in 2004. Her eponymous collection garnered the
attention of key fashion magazines in the industry such as Vogue,
Elle, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar. Today Rachel Roy is a
member of the CFDA and has been featured in many media channels
promoting her extraordinary work in the fashion scene.
Rachel Roy’s collection is divided into Resort 2010, Spring 2010, Pre-Fall 2010 and Fall 2010. The Resort collection consists of very stylish and classy designs influenced by more playful and cheerful colors that reflect a happy mood. The Spring collection on the other hand, consists of more serious colors and designs with slacks, blouses and dresses that take on a more professional look combined with high fashion. The Pre-fall collection is a blend between serious cuttings and playful colors. Last but not least, the Fall/Winter collection is a series of gray gradients and cold tones.
