Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti
Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti is the brainchild of Italian
designed Alberta Ferretti. She opened her first boutique at the age
of 18 and completed her first collection within the next year. Her
studio is in Milan, Italy but her production studio is located just
outside of Cattolica, Italy in a remote location. She is well
known for flowing formal gowns and beautiful evening wear. She is
also regarded as the “Queen of Chiffon” due to her
excessive use of the fabric in nearly every dress she designs. She
also uses a great deal of silk in her cocktail dresses and evening
gowns. A great deal of attention is paid to the intricacy found in
her dresses as most of them feature extravagant designs sewn into
them.
Some of Alberta's favorite materials to dress up her designs with are sequins, beads, and even lace. Her gowns are known to be an effortless blend of materials that are as comfortable to wear as they are to look at. In 2001 Alberta released her own line of accessories which include shoes, handbags, underwear, beachwear, and belts. You can find Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti designs in only the most prestigious of boutiques in the United States, Asia, and Europe.
