Fendi
There is something about that double-F logo that makes a woman feel
like a million bucks. The logo, which stands for Fendi, was created
in the early 90's and remains a hot commodity in the fashion world
today. In 1925, Adele and Edoardo Fendi launched their clothing
line, which was then handed down to their five daughters in 1965.
Fendi is known for its glamorous yet tailored womenswear. 1969 was
a major milestone for the label, as that was the year that Fendi
introduced the nation's first ready-to-wear fur collection.
While the label started as exclusively fur and leather clothing, it
is sweeping today's shelves with fragrances, sunglasses, handbags,
shoes and even home decor. Fendi merchandise is available on the
Internet and in fine clothing stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and
Neiman Marcus. One of Fendi's most popular items is the famed
"Fendi Baguette." This is a stylish, sleek mini-bag that adds a
dash of glam and style to any outfit. Fendi baguette purses are a
must-have today. In 1999, two well-known fashion labels, Prada and
LVMH, teamed up and bought a 50% stake in Fendi. For nearly 100
years, Fendi has been a renowned and loved name on the red carpet;
artist Kanye West was even sighted once with the double-F logo
shaved into his hair. Now that's Fendi love.
