Eugenia Kim Accessories
Eugenia Kim's rise to fashion stardom was rather accidental.
While enrolled at the Parsons School of Design, she gave herself a
regrettable haircut. When she decided to cover it up with a
feathered cloche she had designed and crafted herself, her bad hair
day turned into the beginning of a great career.
Her hats garnered so much attention around NYC by trend-setters,
celebrities, and boutiques alike that her designs were soon sold at
posh department store Barneys New York. In 1997 she opened
her first retail store in NY's East Village. Since then, the
milliner designer's hats can be found in over 100 boutiques around
the world, as well as every high-end department store.
They've adorned the heads of celebrities from Madonna and Jennifer
Lopez, to Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan.
In 2010, Target unveiled her limited-edition "Eugenia Kim for
Target" hat line, making the hip headpieces affordable enough for
any girl to rock. Just in time for spring and summer, the
line includes her signature designs in a range of hats including
cloche, fedora, bucket hat, sun-hat, newsboy and pillbox
silhouettes. Inspired by Havana, Cuba, the looks are
effortlessly stylish and endlessly functional, made of woven and
printed fabrics with various embellishments.
