Badgley Mischka Handbags
Badgley Mischka is a joint-effort fashion label started by Mark
Badgley and James Mischka. The duo met each other while attending
Parsons School of Design in New York and knew immediately they
wanted to collaborate once graduated. They established the Badgley
Mischka brand in 1988 and have been partners in business and life
ever since. They saw major success once launching a line of bridal
gowns in 1993 that turned everyone's heads with their elaborate
design and minimal fabric range. This made the dresses much more
comfortable than something stuffed and designed with dozens of
exotic fabrics.
Badgley Mischka is also well known for their red carpet-ready
dresses and evening gowns that have been worn by the likes of Oprah
Winfrey, Sharon Stone, and Melissa Etheridge. They license their
clothing to only the most prestigious of boutiques to help maintain
the exclusivity of owning one of their designs. None of their
designs are available for purchase online and it is notoriously
difficult to obtain the dresses outside of the United States. A
Badgley Mischka dress was also featured heavily in the TV series
Sex in the City as the choice supporting character Charlotte York
made for her second wedding dress.
