GUNAS was created by designer Sugandh. Sugandh, who is originally from India, moved to the US to pursue her education in design which had been her passion since early childhood. She is fascinated by history, culture, innovation and architecture. Her background is in Industrial design with intensive experience in Product achieved by working with brands such as Whirlpool, KitchenAid and Victoria's Secret to name a few. After completing her Masters program in Sustainable Design Management from Pratt, Sugandh decided to launch her own line of Handbags for the luxury clientele. Identifying a gap for well constructed designer utilitarian city bags in the Market her first collection, The Felix is inspired by city architecture and innovative products.

The bags are constructed using the finest and most luxurious cruelty free, man-made materials. The result is an extremely light weight, durable and desirable bag which is not only light on your shoulders but also a treat for the eyes. The products are handcrafted in the heart of Manhattan's Fashion District. They come with custom hardware also designed in-house and made in Italy. GUNAS is known for its metallic, utilitarian and futuristic look. The brand takes its inspiration in classic design and creates duffles, totes, messenger bags and clutches that will hardly go out of style.
