"KEZA is a social enterprise, driven by our desire to
build sustainable businesses in Africa and elevate production
standards in the international fashion industry. Africa is known
primarily for corruption, disease and poverty, but that certainly
is not the full scope of Africa. If we can rebrand Africa by
showcasing their beauty and excellence, we might even change
their expectations of themselves.
KEZA sustains itself through the sales of our products. In
addition to providing free development service to our partners,
we give 10% of our profits to the KEZA Foundation, which provides
funding for equipment, facilities, and tools for our partners.
When needed, it provides funding for school fees for their
children and family health care in order to create an environment
conducive for doing business.
We entered Rwanda in March of 2006 with the goal of developing
businesses for women aspiring to break out of poverty and donor
dependency. We bring designers from around the world to teach our
African partners how to create high quality fashion goods. We
provide them with quality control systems, assembly lines, and
product manuals that enable them to consistently create
avant-garde fashion. Through our experiences in Africa, we've
created a template for developing thriving entrepreneurs, fully
capable of running a successful and profitable business. Through
the proliferation of their products, and progressive industry
model, they play a significant role in rebranding Africa as a
producer of fine couture fashion goods. Our partner's products
are held in high regard because they are exclusive, quality and
unique. Something beautiful and powerful happens when we create
something others desire. It gives us purpose, importance and
worth. KEZA provides our partners with a sustainable income, but
equally as important, we create a path for them to experience
DIGNITY." -Keza
