Madewell
With a name like Madewell, this clothing label is destined to have
the perfect cuts and colors of clothes, each put together with
quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Madewell is the
little sister company of J. Crew, an extension of the American
retail store based in New York. Madewell takes a more casual and
playful spin on J. Crew apparel, yet keeps the same standards of
high quality materials and fabrics. The clothing label was launched
in 2006, yet got its name and image from an old workwear company
that made denim apparel back in 1937. The vision behind Madewell is
to offer a complete collection of quality, authentic denim jeans
that are suitable for the downtown girl.
With denim being Madewell’s obsession, it is no surprise that
the company offers an impressive collection of cuts, styles and
washes, including the popular ex-boyfriend jeans and rail straight
jeans. Indeed, the denim apparel would not be complete without
Madewell’s overly soft and flattering tees, as well as their
wool scarves that offer a preppy and urban image, once again
reaching out to the affluent, downtown gal. Madewell is also well
known for their chic leather boots and trendy Bensimon sneakers,
which are a blend of Converse shoes matched with a graceful
femininity. All of Madewell’s designs offer a sense of
simplicity like no other, keeping the apparel sophisticated, modern
and sleek.
