Vena Cava
Vena Cava sprang from a collection that started on the living room
floor of Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock back in 2003. Today, the
label is a global success, appealing to fans and fashion addicts
from all around the world. The brand has amassed a large following
over the years, and each season, the label continues to climb the
rungs of the fashion ladder, placing itself at the top with other
iconic names like Alexander Wang. Wang, in fact, even collaborated
with Vena Cava to create a collection for Gap.
Designs by Vena Cava are delightful and trendy, appealing to the
younger generation. Each design is a melding of sophistication and
class with a twist of edgy femininity. The designers have
attributed their inspiration to vintage looks but have established
their own definitive style by giving these classic looks a modern
overhaul. A huge chunk of each Vena Cava collection is made up of
dresses, and every season, the dresses change to reflect the
seemingly limitless pool of creativity that is the brand. The
dresses range from edgy chic frocks to flirty sundresses for
summer. Many subtle hues are used in the Spring 2010 collection, in
direct contrast to the more flamboyant Resort 2010 collection.
Tops and T-Shirt dresses are yet another style of clothing offered
by Vena Cava, and these successfully strike a balance between
flirtatious, girly charm and no-nonsense style. For a brand that is
less than a decade old, Vena Cava seems to already be on the flight
to fashion stardom with the exacting design and charming appeal
present in each garment.
