Milly
Founded in 2000 by Michelle Smith and Andrew Oshrin, Milly is a
designer fashion label that offers a collection of sophisticated
and feminine apparel. Smith always had a love for the fashion world
and after studying fashion design in college, she traveled aboard
and worked for such designers as Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton.
After returning to New York, Smith was intent on opening her own
business. She paired herself with friend and mentor, Andrew Oshin,
and together they launched Milly, which has been well-received by
fashion critics and socialites.
Milly is a unique clothing line in that it draws directly from Smith’s experiences, influenced by a New England background matched by a European flair. While the Milly collection is designer fashion, both Smith and Osher wanted to offer an assortment of high-end luxury apparel that was more affordable than other lines on the market. And with an avid following, including Jessica Biel and Jennifer Aniston, Milly has become a lifestyle brand that is glamorous and empowering to a variety of women.
Not only is Milly apparel sexy and sophisticated, but it is made using the highest quality fabrics that are sourced from all over the world. With luxurious fabrics, impeccable detail and eclectic colors and prints, Milly has an international appeal and is often seen on the runways, being synonymous with cutting-edge fashion. Although based in Manhattan, Milly opened their first boutique in Tokyo, Japan, in 2009, and has since gone on to launch a new jewelry collection that is heavily anticipated for the 2010 seasons.
