Joie
During the past decade, there have many changes in the contemporary
clothing market. One of the greatest additions to designer fashion
was the clothing company JOIE, which launched in 2001. While other
fashion designers were focusing on a single type of clothing, such
as denim or cashmere sweaters, JOIE offered a complete collection
of modern clothes that could fulfill a woman’s wardrobe. With
soft, luxurious fabrics and vintage-inspired detailing, JOIE has
become a lifestyle collection for women across the world, most
notably in the United States and Japan.
JOIE is run by Serge Azria, the owner and creative director of the
company. The apparel draws its inspiration from the sunny and
relaxed atmosphere of Southern California, with clothes being
effortlessly chic and feminine. The tops are flowy and lightweight,
looking stunning with a pair of cream colored pants or capris.
Dresses are flirty and drape sensually over the body, while
cashmere sweaters are soft and sexy. While all of JOIE’s
collections are fit for the hip and urban female, they also keep
the ageless appeal of a simple and authentic top that stands at the
forefront of fashion trends.
The drive behind JOIE consists of three words: Casual. Comfortable.
Luxurious. In each article of clothing, there is a perfect balance
between these three factors so that each item is perfect to the
touch. JOIE clothing can be found at upscale retailers, as well as
through their own signature boutiques. To add to their extensive
collection of luxurious clothing, JOIE launched a shoe collection
in 2007, and this spring in 2010, Soft JOIE was brought to the
market, being made from the softest jersey cotton materials.
