Doo-Ri Chung , designer and owner of the luxury fashion line Doo Ri
has certainly got spools of talent, judging from her runway
successes and great collections from each season. The
Korean-American fashion designer was trained at the illustrious
Parsons School of Design before landing employment at Geoffrey
Beene, where she honed her fashion designing skills, and started
getting intimate with the ropes of the fashion industry. Her
eponymous label, Doo.Ri was born in 2001, and in the years to come,
Doo.Ri Chung established herself in the fashion industry, dressing
celebrities Kim Bauer, Vanessa Getty, while her well heeled
clientele continues to grow.
Clean cut silhouettes, trim aesthetics and simple elegance are the
secret ingredients that have personified collections by the
designer. Doo.Ri is perhaps most famous for her line of jersey
dresses, all of which carry her signature unique drape. Over
the years, the designer has explored all kinds of fabrics,
extending her line to include ephemeral dresses, with wispy
chiffon, tulle and feminine touches. Formally known for her neutral
palettes, Doo-Ri has been experimenting with more colors, including
soft pastels and delicate hues that reminds one of spring and some
of her dresses are so light and breezy they seem to flutter by like
butterflies.
