Daftbird
Daftbird founder, Joshua Christopher realized there was a niche
market for casual wear with a modern twist and in the year 2000, he
launched his first fashion line, Apathetic, providing graphic tees
and casual wear for sports. In 2006, spurred on by his former
success, he launched Daftbird which continued the legacy of his
special touch for creating fashionable street and casual wear.
The brand has a wide collection of clothes, offering trendy V
Necks, tank tops, cardigans and sweaters that are hip and modern.
Part of the brand’s unique charm lies in Joshua’s
observations, realizing that women looked good in their
boyfriend’s oversized tees. Armed with this observation, he
set out to create a line that would emulate the sexy, languorous
feeling of slipping on a man’s shirt, but with the added
advantage of using thin, slinky fabric that drapes well, yet clings
in all the right places. Innovative and trendy, Daftbird is a
combination of creativity, innovation and daring, an image that the
brand hopes to pass on to the young women it caters to.
Daftbird has been featured in countless fashion magazines and teen
magazines, providing casual wear that is fashionable and chic. The
brand has a strong backing of celebrity fans, including Jessica
Alba, Jennifer Garner, Hayden Panettiere and Ed Westwick. Daftbird
is certainly a trendsetter in this genre, a source of inspiration
to teenagers and seasoned fashion experts alike, the brand is
carried by upscale department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and
has its own flagship stores all over the world.
